Novacaine Tongue

"What can I say about Brook James Krieger?  A lot, he was a great friend, a really good human being and one damn good guitar player. One of the best I have ever heard. I was the original drummer for Brook’s band Nova Caine Tongue. I experienced his exceptional guitar abilities first hand on stage with him many nights. I witnessed many guitar players come to watch him play with wide eyed appreciation and some obvious envy. Yes, he was that good. One of my favorite Brook stories is the time we played a show at the Press bar. It was a packed house and there were a lot of musicians in the audience. Another guitar player was watching Brook shred a solo during one of our songs. He walked up to the stage at Brook’s feet smoking a cigarette holding an ashtray with a look on his face of extreme incredulous envy. Brook was tearing it up. The envious gent then took a puff off his cigarette, blew it in Brooks face, crushed the cigarette in the ashtray and tipped it over on to Brook’s shoe in obviously display of mad jealousy. Brook just smiled.  And continued to shred! R.I.P.  Shredder Brook James Krieger."
